Why the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) unexpectantly became a personal cause for me….

In early 2022, LLS and its mission to cure blood cancer unexpectedly became a personal cause for me when I was first diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma (CLL/SLL). My journey since that time has been filled with doctor visits and building a strong support unit around me. I am fortunate to have extraordinary friends and family, excellent healthcare coverage, and access to the world-class doctors associated with Houston Methodist Hospital. My positive outcome, without a doubt, has been made possible through the contributions of LLS.

LLS is a global leader in the fight against blood cancer. Since 1949, LLS has invested more than $1.5 billion in groundbreaking research, pioneering many of today’s most innovative approaches.

As I journey through my experience, I can’t help but imagine the possibilities to advance treatment and cure all cancer (not just blood cancer). For that reason, my wife, Cammie Dupuis Kennedy, and I are committed to raising funds to support LLS’s mission to beat cancer through research and support programs.

I am asking for your help by donating to Team Courage and Confidence 2025 New England LLS Student Visionaries of the Year campaign led by Newton Country Day Freshman Lexi Pierce. Additionally, I am excited to announce that Cammie and I will match up to $10,000 total toward all donations made thru the TBCRF to help support Lexi and her campaign.
